Has anyone tried making stained glass?

I am considering an evening class in stained glass making and was just wondering if any of you talented people out there have already had a go and could offer any opinions on it?

No I have'nt. But a friend of ours used to do this for a living. He used the traditional method of individual stained glass pieces inlaid with lead. Very beautiful. Go for it. Just imagine how you could enhance your home....your front door fo example. Good luck.

Go for it - it's very interesting. I went to classes in Hertfordshire, the tutor was Swedish, I can't remember her name. I made two panels using the traditional leaded technique. And a small fan lamp using the copper foil technique (like Tiffany lamps are made).
We also went on a trip to France to see Chartres Cathedral.
