We Won!!!!

Just been down at the pub this evening to watch the rugby... was on tenterhooks in the last 10 mins!!!!! I can't believe we're in another World Cup final....shows I should have more faith in the England team!!!!

We watched it too Oola what a fantastic game.That's two games we have won today,football earlier on and now the Rugby--and I'm not really a sports fan!!!- I am getting to like rugby though,and the players are a better bunch than footballers I think.

Football and rugby aren't my thing, but even I got a real buzz from seeing all the jubilant antics on the TV tonight!

Yes, about 12 000 km away! But strangely enough I don't feel that far away. As most know by now, me and hubs have a great love for the UK. :)

My daughters blessing was on Saturday, so we did not get to watch it, so there were a few grumpy men! Thank goodness she did not have her blessing this coming Saturday! We shall be down the pub for that one, then up very, very early Sunday morning to go too Spain.

a local bar in france invited all the french and english locals for a food and rugby night. when they got there it was one long table.all the french and english mixed in together. my daughter said it was a fantastic night of fun and friendship. when england won the english couldn't believe it. everyone was like a big happy family.all the children sat together on the floor in front of the big screen.how lovely to see such comradeship on such an occasion.

We watched it here on German tv and our son watche on ITV in an "English" pub in Lucerne. We were all very pleased. Then we wathced the other semi-final, us in German here andour sone in a Munich hotel with a big screen, both in German. So it will be England v. South Africa in the final next weekend. I know which team we'd like to win !

Yes me too, although congrats of course to Crocus...this time next week we'll have a champion, that's the only certainty at the moment.

Healing Hands,hope your daughter's blessing service went well and you all had a happy time,what a pity that it was all mixed up with Rugby,but as you say,it could have been worse--the timing I mean---! every happiness to your daughter and husband and sorry if I digress from the thread title!
