Further to Crocus's thread on CL, I was quite frankly pretty pissed off with some of the accusations and hypothises being thrown around by members there. I just wanted to clarify to all the members (and those that read the forum) that this website was never set up as a means to just create revenue from advertising, no data was taken and it was just offered as an alternative to a forum that a lot of people were losing interest in. You're just a lovely bunch of people and I thought it would be something nice to do, plus would address all the moderation issues on CL. I paid for it all out of my own pocket and only expect to recoup the cost of renewing the software licenses each year.
I also wanted to clarify that I did tell you all that apart from the blogs that are set to private, information from this website would appear on Google and the Internet in general, as with most forums. I never intended to 'manipulate' or deceive anyone, I simply wanted those who I thought would have a vested interest in another forum to be aware of it's existence, and to commune with familiar faces. I've never made it to be a replacement for CL, or an "it's here or there" issue EVER. People are free to do pretty much what they want and that has always been made clear. It's just an Internet forum for friendly chat rather than debate....
