I'v also posted my plea in the recipes section so please forgive the duplication. If any body has any recipes that they are prepared to share I will be truly grateful. My mother in law just gifted me a bag of fresh chestnuts, and other than my absolute favourite soup I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do with them.

Hi Baab95, I don't personally have any chestnut recipes, but perhaps this link can help?

Thanks for the tip Crocus. My fingers are still recovering from peeling the chestnuts, and consequently my enthusiasm has taken a slight dive. I will investigate the sites you suggested in the next few days. I have however got a lovely pot of lentil & chestnut soup bubbling as I type.

Hi Baab95, I hope you will find something you can use in the link. I've never tasted chestnuts before - does it have a sweet or salty taste? Lentil soup is my favourite soup of all. I add a carrot and some chicken stock to the soup. You can't taste the carrot as such, it just gives a lovely flavour to the soup. Enjoy your chestnut % lentil soup!
