Have just received husband's ITR. Pleased that now he's retired he has been "demoted" to the shortened version, as its always me who fills it in. (Just because I once worked for the Revenue....). So girls remember, always declare everything!

I will declare everything, but unfortunately there's still not an awful lot to declare!

Hi Oola, it is boring but worthwhile, especially as you can write off almost all of your expenditure against tax, which is a big help before the dollars come rolling in! This is something that can't be done in a job. Good luck with it, and I'm sure that with your multitude of talents and determination you'll soon be well into the black.

At college we had a teacher who told us always to claim everything it was them who had to tell you you were not entitled to it. Don't know if you have the same system though
