On Friday I thought I would have a sort out and took some goods to our local hospice shop .I had been all round our bungalow gathering it all together .Among it was a lamp I had taken from my sons room I didn't think he had ever used it .On Saturday what was the first words he said hey mum wheres my lamp I use it every night and morning .It was an unusual shape and knew I wouldn't find one like it so went back and asked if it was still there and I would buy it back. But no it had been sent to the warehouse so today went there and hurray it was still there .!! what a palava !! Have you ever got rid of something you later found you should'nt have.

Isn't it strange when you hold on to something for ages and ages (most probably it very much in your way as well) just to decide, today is the day that I get rid of this thing! A few days later, you need it urgently! Never had any need for this thing while it was taking up space. Happened to me a few times! Strange.

I have quite frequently taken unread books to a charity shop only to buy them back again a few days later! I always think "Wow! that looks an interesting book..." I am sure that I have re-bought some books several times. My partner has a much better memory than me, and if he is with me he usually manages to convince me that the book that I have by eye on was once mine.

My friend has a name for this:- 'throwing it away on a piece of elastic' so you can drag it back, get it? Fran.
