View Full Version : Martha Stewart's No-Knit-Scarf
Found a link to a no-knit scarf - looks like a really interesting idea and I might have a bash at it myself. What do you think?

That's a good idea too. I suppose it comes under the heading of macrame. I'd try with some scrap wool first, perhaps a dolls scarf, or for the cat!?

It looks good, Oola. I would also do a test piece first, but it should be quite quick once you get going.

Hi, I had a look at a lot of links in the website - beautiful stuff, ideas and crafty ideas - thanks Oola!

I earmarked this project of Martha's site a while back but had forgotten all about it.
I hope to make it out of fleece. I had to buy thirty metres of fleece for a project, and the selvedges had to be cut off the length both sides, so I have many metres of fleece selvedge and being the pack rat that I am I didn't throw them out, so I plan to use them to make this scarf (probably more than one, so that's some Christmas gifts taken care of) for next Winter. I have some yardage left, so I might be real creative and make a matching hat.

Thanks for that link Oola I have put it into my favourites and will be having a go later in the year.
You sound a bit like me Rustic Pumpkin, I can't bear to throw anything away.

Throwing things away is a crime against humanity! :)
I plan to make all my new Winter wardrobe without buying anything other than the odd bits and bobs of habby.
Still haven't made the scarf, though! Found another use for the said scraps!
Oh no I'd rather knit I would muddle all those strands up somewhere in the middle
