I don't know about you but I feel now I can just switch the computor on and come here and be among friends. We will probably never meet but in a way know each other so well, possibly know things about eachother that our friends we see regularly don't even know!Lets hope we can carry on caring and sharing.

Well said Sheddie, it's good to know there are people here who share the same interests, and are supportive. Fran.

I agree, Sheddie. I think that one of the advantages of online friendships is that you can get to know one another quite well without having to go through the usual rigmarole of spending time 'sizing people up', as people do when they meet in person.

:)In a strange way RuralMuse friends are part of me! As Sheddie's said, we know so much about one another just through sharing our experiences, be it laughter, happines, fun, and heartache. That to me is what friends are about, to share not only the good and acceptable stuff. But most of all, it is the respect we have for one another. All ingredients needed to be wonderful friends and part of a unique family! :) Thanks all!

"A shoulder without a brother/sister/friend is bare". :)
"In this world, the best and most beautiful things can't be seen or heard, it must be felt by heart". Helen Keller. :)
"Every day has the potential to have a happy ending". :)
Thought I would pass these on to all of you! :)

I agree too - you all cannot know how much I appreciate being able to "chat" in English! I love living here and like speaking German but sometimes it's just so nice to speak my mother tongue to friends.

I feel the same. It's lovely to talk with openhearted friends and to feel accepted.

I bought a book of Ginger Recipes in aid of a local hospice and there is a poem in it written by Jean Horncastle of Westward Ho!
The recipe for happiness
Is easy to prepare.
Take a pound of thoughtfulness
And mix it in with care.
Let it cool for just a while
Then add consideration.
Before it boils, take from the top
All anger and frustration.
Sprinkle with some sympathy
Flavour with happy smiles,
And in it place a loving heart.
Wait till set then sprinkle seeds
Of kindly thoughts and willing deeds.
The ending should be complete success
Of human joy and happiness.
That just about sums you all up, I think! Kate
